Never put off...

"Tomorrow," I said to Natalie on Thursday night. We were talking about posting to blogs, and yesterday was my self-imposed day of rebirth for the blog.

Well, we can all see how that went.

I don't know what happened over spring break--that was supposed to be the time without papers and weekly reading when I would have the extra time to catch up on the blog. Oh wait, I remember. I was planning for a wedding. Well, not "a" wedding, I suppose, but "our" wedding. Susanne and I traveled to South Dakota, got lots of stuff done, looked at pictures for the slideshow. Poof! No break.

Now it's been Poof! Holy Week. Then it will be Poof! The rest of the semester. Then it will be Poof! Getting married.

When I haven't been writing but I think about it, it is as if a sock has been shoved down my throat, and a cork set in my lips. It feels like it will be impossible to start again. High coefficient of friction, I like to think of it. But put down so much as a word, and it flows out eagerly. Writing is a vital part of my psychic well-being. Not doing what we know is good for us is a much more reliable part of the human condition.

So, thanks for checking, if you have been, to see if I've stopped in while I've been gone. You water my plants.
